WHY YOU NEED TO MEET CHILOÉ?

That’s an easy question, because you have many things to know in this incredible town. If you visit Chiloé is to adventure a mystical Island and cultured-rich, in which you will listen mythos and legend about Chiloé and around there. In addition, you can taste the best gastronomy and you can experience the beautiful tradition and the wonderful nature.

Since the beginning, take a ferry and see the majestic Canal de Chacao until arrive to the big Chiloé Island and have a nice day, walking for the amazing places like Ancud, Dalcahue, Chonchi,Chacao, castro , etc.  The colorful houses in Castro are attractive for most the foreign tourist and also boats on the sea.  

Chiloé, is a town full of stories, so you can fun with those stories. Ones of them is La pincoya, this mermaid is a beautiful woman who protect the ocean and rescue survivor. Pincoya has two way to help to fish, ones is to feel happy when you go to fish and second when you see the pincoya dancing in the ocean, you have luck and you will fishing a plenty of fish. However, if you are fishing a lot at the same place, Pincoya feel hungry and she abandon, and exist shortage.

Also, you need to meet all the colorful churches, palafitos and the museums that are declared a National Patrimony for UNESCO and have many historical facts that probably you are interested. This monument is so important for the people that live in the Island, if is your first time, you need to visit, and have a great souvenir of those colorful churches that are icon of this Island.

The gastronomy is so delicious, you must taste the Curanto with meat, seafood, and potatoes of the zone, all this cooking in a hole of the earth and hot stones or you can taste milcao that is also a traditional Chiloé’s food.

You can participate of a great tradition that is La Minga, in which you need to drag a house with million people, until arrive a land of a family and Los Curantos, also is considerate like a tradition, because is not something of all days, is a especial tradition in which all the family are together to have a good moment in family.    

Finally, if you let the island, you carry with you a great experience, souvenirs, and a wonderful treasure in your heart. The most important thing, that you can do is have a fun moment and meet many cutest people in the whole world.
